If you’ve been on the internet at all in the past week, it’s likely you’ve seen something about #MomTok — probably the quote “Can #MomTok even survive this?” if nothing else.
There’s drama in the Mormon #MomTok world that’s been reignited thanks to Hulu’s new reality series, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which follows a group of eight influencers during the fallout from a swinging scandal that challenged friendships, brand deals, and more.
While the vital question is — can #MomTok even survive this? — remains unanswered, there’s an easy and free way to fill in all of the blanks and check out the series for yourself.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is a Hulu original series, meaning the only place you can watch it is on Hulu with a subscription.
If you aren’t already subscribed, Hulu offers a 30-day free trial of its With Ads plan. After the month free, which should be more than enough time to watch all eight episodes of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Hulu With Ads costs $7.99/month.
There are eight episodes in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 1; all eight episodes are streaming now for your binge-watching pleasure.
Hulu has not renewed The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives for Season 2 yet, but some of the stars, including Mikayla Matthews, have some ideas for what they’d like to see happen if they’re picked up for a second season.
In June 2022, Taylor Frankie Paul — the creator of a content group on TikTok known as #MomTok — revealed in a livestream that she was getting divorced from her husband after engaging in “soft-swinging” with other coupled-up Mormon friends.
“The whole group was intimate with each other. Tate has made out with several girls and other things, and I’ve made out with all of the husbands and vice versa,” Paul said. In the same livestream, she confirmed that she had gone beyond the soft-swinging agreement and cheated on her husband with her now-boyfriend, Dakota.
Paul’s confession turned the spotlight onto the other members of #MomTok, who all denied being a part of the soft-swinging parties, but revealed that Paul and her now ex-husband were doing “everything but sex” at these parties.
All of this took place before the series pilot was filmed, so the show deals with the aftermath and fallout from that livestream.

Eight women and #MomTok members make up the cast of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Also appearing on the show are significant others and family members of the eight main cast members.
Are you even surprised?! After the #MomTok group accused Leavitt of playing the victim in conflicts that she started, Neeley was the only one who stuck by her. In return, Leavitt skipped Neeley’s brand’s launch party in the season finale.
In the days following the series’ release on Hulu, Leavitt took to TikTok to prove her innocence… by posting her private texts with Neeley all over the internet.
And then… Mikayla Matthews entered the chat — posting things to contradict Leavitt’s new claims.
Can #MomTok even survive this?!
This drama is still unfolding daily, so stream the show on Hulu and then watch TikTok for the latest developments on all things #MomTok.
