NextImg:Casey Anthony’s Mother Suffers Panic Attack While Being Questioned In New A&E Doc ‘The Lie Detector Test’: “I Kept Hoping That She Would Confess”

The latest previews of the upcoming A&E documentary series Casey Anthony’s Parents: The Lie Detector Test show Cindy and George Anthony struggling while being questioned about Casey Anthony‘s alleged involvement in the disappearance and murder of her late three-year-old daughter, Caylee.

In an exclusive clip shared with Entertainment Weekly, Cindy can be seen becoming increasingly emotional as she opens up about her late granddaughter’s disappearance. At one point, she claims she’s suffering from a panic attack and leaves the room.

After admitting that she “100 percent” believes her daughter Casey knows what happened to Caylee, Cindy says, “I kept hoping upon hope that she would confess and that’s the only reason that I put myself through all the drama and everything.”

George, who is sitting with Cindy, agrees and says that was “absolutely correct.”

Cindy continues through tears, “Since June 16, 2008, Caylee has been my number one priority as far as what happened to her and getting her back. I lost Casey and my granddaughter that day, but Caylee’s always the priority, Caylee’s always been the priority.”

At one point in the interview, Cindy suddenly grasps her chest and says, “I’m having a hard time, I’m having a panic attack. I’m sorry.” She then leaves the room and apologizes, saying she is going to take her “anxiety pills.”

George swiftly follows her out, as well, and went to comfort her in the next room, where he asks if she wants to go to the hospital.

Cindy tells him that she felt like she was “starting to lose it” and could possibly “pass out.”

Another preview of the documentary shows George struggling to answer questions during a lie detector test regarding whether he “knowingly [concealed]” Caylee’s whereabouts.

Casey Anthony’s Parents: The Lie Detector Test will show both parents taking a lie detector test on-camera for the very first time to address any lingering suspicions regarding their involvement in Caylee’s murder.

Casey Anthony’s Parents: The Lie Detector Test premieres on Lifetime and A&E Thursday, Jan. 4 at 9:00 p.m. ET. It will be available to stream the next day.
