NextImg:Car wash worker shocked as ‘kidnap victim’ found bound, gagged in trunk

That was a dirty trick!

British builders’ merchant manager Gary Stephenson, 38, wanted to welcome the new neighboring car wash business in an unforgettable way. So he roped in his friend Chris Peacock, 32, to give the performance of a lifetime.

A video posted last month on TikTok shows a car wash employee opening the trunk of a car as a nearly naked Peacock rolls out with a gag in his mouth and his wrists bound together.

The astounded worker jumps back in shock as the panicked-looking “kidnapping victim” runs away to the nearby road in East Yorkshire, England.

The 30-second clip, captioned “Just kidnapped my mate,” is a runaway hit with 1.1 million views.

“Gary managed to talk me into it. We bounced ideas off each other, and next thing I know I’m in the underpants at the car wash,” Peacock told SWNS.

“On the way to the car I was thinking, ‘What the hell am I doing?’ As soon as the boot opened, I thought, ‘It’s my time to shine,'” he added.

Stephenson gets out of the car and flashes the car wash worker and his colleagues a smile to let them know it was all a prank — while Peacock stood by the roadside for 10 minutes as drivers mocked him.

“I didn’t know if he was going to spray me, so I just ran, but then I found myself in the middle of the street for about 10 minutes,” Peacock said of the employee’s reaction.

“People were driving past laughing at me. I was freezing cold and thinking, ‘How did I end up in the situation?'”

“I laugh every time I see it,” the good sport proclaimed. “It never gets old. It’s good to see people laughing about it.”

Stephenson revealed what drove him to hatch this plan.

“I go through the car wash lots of times, and when they were opening my boot to clean, I thought it’d be funny if someone jumped out,” he explained.

“I was quite nervous about how it was going to go. I don’t know these lads, so I didn’t know how they were going to take it. They could have kicked off or rang the police,” he noted.

Stephenson says Facebook removed the car wash video, and he believes it’s because site managers thought it was footage of a real kidnapping.

But audiences on TikTok loved it, with a user claiming to be the owner of the establishment declaring it “the best prank that has happened in my car wash.”

SWNS contacted the car wash owner for comment.

“Love how the other one just [keeps] on cleaning the car,” one commenter laughed.

Another professed: “The more I watch it the funnier it gets.”

“One of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. Pure genius,” one person applauded.

A fourth added: “That would have made their day. Absolute genius.”
