With the overlapping WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, 2023 was a rough year for broadcast television to say the least. So with writers and actors back in action, will 2024 be network TV’s comeback year?
It’s only April, but we’ve already seen a noteworthy number of broadcast and streaming shows get the axe, with dozens more still on the chopping block awaiting their fate. Thankfully, we’ve also seen networks order exciting new series and renew a number of existing favorites — from ABC hits like Abbott Elementary and 9-1-1 to freshman shows like Elsbeth, Tracker, and more.
