Tensions between Queen Camilla and Prince Harry still appear high three years after Harry took a step back from the royal family.
Royal expert Christopher Andersen has claimed that Camilla, 75, has “further alienated” Harry, 38, from the Firm and his father, King Charles.
“The king hates being caught in the middle, but when push comes to shove, he will always choose Camilla,” Andersen divulged to Fox News recently.
According to “The King” author, Camilla has been using “this nonsensical ‘But they’re no longer working royals‘ argument” to continue to isolate Charles, 74, and his youngest son.
“I think every time the king considers handing Harry an olive branch, Camilla makes sure Charles is reminded of all the terrible things written about her in ‘Spare,'” he continued.
The Duke of Sussex dropped his lengthy memoir this past January and he spilled the tea on the royal family and shared some wild bombshells about his relationship with them.
Harry and his wife Meghan Markle decided to emancipate themselves from the family in January 2020 and they subsequently moved to Montecito, Calif.
Andersen believes that “things look pretty bleak as far as mending the relationship between the Sussexes and the rest of the royals.”
“Charles seems to be drifting more and more in the direction of just severing those ties, and that will become easier as more and more time passes. Out of sight…” he explained.
In “Spare,” Harry branded Camilla as a “villain” and alleged that Camilla leaked stories to the press about him.
He also wrote that he “begged” Charles not to marry her, as Harry believed that she would turn into his “wicked stepmother.”
Charles and Camilla infamously had a decades-long affair while he was married to Princess Diana and she was wedded to Andrew Parker Bowles.
Camilla and the former Prince of Wales finally tied the knot in 2005, with Harry and his older brother Prince William by their side.
Harry further defined his claims about Camilla in a “60 Minutes” interview with Anderson Cooper while on his press tour for “Spare” earlier this year.
The Invictus Games founder noted that she needed to re-brand her image from being seen as an evil figure in the British media.
“That made her dangerous because of the connections that she was forging within the British press,” Harry said.
“There was open willingness on both sides to trade information. And with a family built on hierarchy, and with her on the way to being queen consort, there was gonna be people or bodies left in the street,” he continued.
