The Special Olympics has condemned Caitlyn Jenner for repeatedly using the R-word on Twitter.
“Words matter. Do better, Ms. Jenner,” the sports organization for people with intellectual disabilities said in an exclusive statement to Page Six on Friday.
“Special Olympics has worked tirelessly to eradicate the use of the R-word, and your repeated use of it is being seen by millions of your social media followers.”
The nonprofit also invited Jenner to “attend any event” from one of its 200 programs across the globe so that she can interact with Special Olympics athletes and “learn more about how to be an advocate for inclusion.”
Jenner’s manager had no comment.
Ironically, Jenner attended a Special Olympics event in June 1979, three years after she won a gold medal in the decathlon at the 1976 Olympic Games. She also spoke at the 1985 Special Olympics in Park City, Utah.
Jenner, 74, came under fire on Wednesday for tweeting the R-word in response to Donald Trump Jr. calling President Biden “f&$king re$?&;ed” for renewing a sanctions waiver that would grant Iran access to $10 billion from Iraq.
Trump also complained that the R-word is no longer “a big part of our vernacular.”
The former “I Am Cait” star initially misspelled the slur before correcting herself, which led many fans to troll her online.
“Misspelling that word specifically is so goddamn funny,” another wrote.

Jenner herself even joined in, pointing out that she “immediately respelled it properly” and calling her typo an “epic ironic fail.”
But the reality star only further upset her followers when she doubled down on her use of the R-word on Thursday while attacking the “losers” at Page Six who covered the controversy.
“GET THE HELL OVER IT. How about focusing on how dangerous and R——D freeing up $10 BILLION to Iran is,” she wrote, referring to Trump’s initial tweet calling President Biden “f&$king re$?&;ed” for renewing a sanctions waiver that would grant the US adversary access to money in escrow accounts.
“You could say all of this without using that word. You’re despicable,” one person replied, to which Jenner acknowledged she “could.”
The Special Olympics’ website describes the R-word as “a hurtful term that remains prevalent throughout social media” despite being discontinued in the 1960s as a pejorative.
