Fans flocking to Iowa City to witness Caitlin Clark make history are paying a pretty penny to do so.
Sunday afternoon’s Iowa-Ohio State women’s basketball game has had the most expensive tickets for any women’s college hoops or WNBA game ever, according to ESPN.
As of 9:30 a.m. ET Sunday morning, the cheapest single ticket on Vivid Seats for the game was $209, and that was quickly snapped up, leaving the cheapest ticket price at 9:45 a.m. to be $287.
The most expensive listing at the time was for $861 a ticket.
Clark, having already broken the women’s career scoring record, is set to break Pete Maravich’s all-time NCAA basketball scoring record on Sunday against the Buckeyes.
She enters the game with 3,650 career points, needing 18 to surpass Maravich’s mark of 3,667.
The 22-year-old, who leads the nation with an average of 32.2 points per game, has scored at least 21 points in all 29 of her games this season for the No. 6 Hawkeyes, who are looking to avenge a Jan. 21 overtime loss to the now-No. 2 Buckeyes.
Clark isn’t just impacting tickets for Iowa games, either.
Since announcing on Thursday she would forgo her final year of NCAA eligibility and declare for the 2024 WNBA Draft, the Indiana Fever, who hold the No. 1 pick, have seen their ticket prices on Vivid Seats more than double from last season, the company said Friday.

The average ticket price has shot up from $60 to $140.
The Big Ten sold out its entire women’s basketball conference tournament, which starts Wednesday in Minneapolis, the first sellout in the tournament’s history, according to ESPN.
