Caitlin Clark continued to show why she’s one of the greatest women’s basketball players on the planet on Wednesday night as the Iowa star moved into second place on the NCAA women’s basketball’s career scoring list. 

A layup against Northwestern with 4:58 left on the clock in the second quarter moved Clark to 3,403 points for her career and put her past Ohio State’s Kelsey Mitchell on the all-time list. 

The basket was also Clark’s 14th point of the game. 

Wednesday night’s contest at Northwestern was a hot ticket as Clark and the Hawkeyes made their way to Evanston, Illinois. 

Fans wrapped around Welsh-Ryan Arena two hours before tip-off to wait to get into the venue, according to a video from the Chicago Tribune.
