AUGUSTA, Ga. — When Jon Rahm was coaxed and poached by LIV Golf to join its maverick tour for hundreds of millions of dollars, that was believed at the time to be the biggest blow of all to the PGA Tour.
Rahm is a likeable personality with a complete game, was ranked No. 2 in the world at the time he jumped tours, was a threat to win at every major championship and appeared to be bent on creating history and a legacy for himself.

It hasn’t been the absence of Rahm that’s hurt the PGA Tour the most. It’s been the absence of Bryson DeChambeau.
