Brooks Koepka kicked off the month of April in a victorious fashion.
On Sunday, the four-time major champion claimed the top $4 million prize at LIV Golf’s Orlando event, where he celebrated his second win on the Saudi-backed circuit with his wife, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit hopeful Jena Sims.
“Proud of you,” Sims gushed on her Instagram Stories, “On to next week.”
Koepka finished at 15-under in the tournament, sealing his second individual LIV Golf win since last year’s season finale in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
“I’ve been playing good for a few weeks,” said the 32-year-old Koepka, who is now LIV Golf’s first two-time winner.
“It just hasn’t really shown on the scorecard, making dumb mistakes. It was nice to come out this week and play mistake-free pretty much.”
Koepka is now riding high as he enters Masters week, hoping to secure the fifth major victory of his career.
The Florida native previously won the PGA Championship in 2018 and 2019, as well as the U.S. Open in 2017 and 2018.
He tied for second at the 2019 Masters.
When Koepka returns to Augusta this week, which will mark the first time LIV Golf is represented at the Masters, Sims will be supporting him every step of the way.
The 34-year-old philanthropist, who married Koepka last summer, played caddie to the golfer at the Masters’ annual Par 3 event in April 2022.
It’s been an eventful few weeks for Koepka and Sims, who became a top 24 finalist in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s annual SwimSearch last month.
Sims will learn Monday if she advances to the round of 12.
She previously said that appearing in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit is her “biggest dream.”
“This is the beginning, hopefully, of a beautiful new chapter of my life,” Sims said in a TikTok video from March while holding back tears.
“I feel so grateful to be able to be chasing my dreams.”
Perhaps this will be a celebratory week for both Koepka and Sims.
