The location listed in the court document is where a parking garage is located at Denver International Airport, according to the Denver Post.

“We are aware of a situation involving Michael Wilhoite that occurred Sunday and are in the process of gathering more information,” the Broncos said in a statement to 9 News.

The 38-year-old is set for a court appearance Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Denver Count Court, per the Denver Post.

Wilhoite, 38, was an undrafted free agent coming out of Division II Washburn but had a successful time with the 49ers after being signed by the Jim Harbaugh-led 49ers.

He played six seasons in the NFL from 2012-17, five with the 49ers and one final season with the “Legion of Boom” Seahawks.

Wilhoite started 45 games in his career, including 16 for the 2014 49ers, and posted strong numbers as a tackler with a career-high 87 in 2014.

In 2019, Saints coach Sean Payton poached Wilhoite as a special teams assistant before he eventually became a defensive assistant in 2020.

He later joined the Chargers as a linebackers coach from 2021-22 and rejoined Payton when he returned to coaching with the Denver Broncos in 2023.
