Britney Spears is considering repairing her scarred relationship with her estranged dad Jamie Spears, according to a report.
The “Toxic” hitmaker, who previously said she wanted her father in jail over her 13-year conservatorship after she famously accused him of abuse, is reportedly looking to extend an olive branch to her pops.
Sources told TMZ that since her split from husband Sam Asghari earlier this month, Britney has been wanting to reach out to Jamie, who is currently ill.
Jamie, who has been in and out of the hospital for months, is suffering from a terrible infection from a previous knee replacement surgery after doctors initially thought the issue was his kidneys.
He’s set to undergo another surgery Friday, and has lost over 25 pounds through his health woes, according to the outlet.
Page Six has reached out to Britney’s reps for comment.
For her part, Britney, whose conservatorship was terminated in November 2021, is currently in touch with just one member of her family — her brother Bryan.
Page Six revealed this week that Bryan is stepping in to support her as she navigates the divorce.
“He’s been staying over and helping her alongside a therapist,” the insider told us, calling Bryan’s presence “a great thing for all of” the Spears family.
Bryan, 46, stayed under the radar throughout his sister’s lengthy conservatorship battle.
He only publicly spoke about her complex legal situation once, admitting on a podcast in July 2020 that “having someone constantly tell you to do something has got to be frustrating.”
Britney, 41, had been “isolated” at her mansion in Thousand Oaks, Calif., after Asghari, 29, “deserted” her and filed to end their 14-month marriage last Wednesday.
We heard that the singer was not “on good terms with her family,” particularly her dad, at the time of the divorce — but is now looking to change that.
TMZ reports that Jamie, 71, is open to a reconciliation with Britney, and there are no hard feelings on his part, the outlet adds.
The pair’s relationship reached an all-time low in 2021 when Britney said those closest to her “should all be in jail” for their roles in establishing her conservatorship in the first place.
“Ma’am, my dad and anyone involved in this conservatorship, and my management, who played huge roles in punishing me when I said ‘No’ [to going on tour] — Ma’am, they should be in jail,” she said at the time.
“I’ve lied and told the whole world I’m OK and I’m happy,” she continued. “I’ve been in denial. I’ve been in shock. I am traumatized…”

“Honestly it still blows my mind every day I wake up how my family and the conservatorship were able to do what they did to me … it was demoralizing and degrading !!!!” Spears added, before thanking the #FreeBritney movement for saving her life.
Prior to the termination of her conservatorship, the singer’s finances were controlled by her father through a legal arrangement.
The guardianship — first meant to be temporary — was put in place in 2008 at Jamie’s request following his daughter’s public meltdown in late 2007 that followed hot on the heels of her divorce from Kevin Federline.
