NextImg:Britney Spears’ ‘brutally honest’ book delayed over concern from A-listers: report

Britney Spears’ “brutally honest” memoir has been put on hold over concerns from some A-listers who know her, according to a new report.

The US Sun reported Sunday that the tome’s publisher, Simon & Schuster, received “strongly worded legal letters” from those who fear what the “Toxic” singer has written.

“Britney is brutally honest in the book — there are a lot of nervous A-listers,” an insider told the outlet.

“Strongly worded legal letters have been sent to the publishers by people who know Britney and who fear what she has written.”

The source added that not only is there “no movement” on the book “at the moment,” but there are also new concerns over when “it will eventually be able to come out.”

Although the report didn’t name names, Spears, 41, famously dated Justin Timberlake and was married to Kevin Federline.

Her wedding to Sam Asghari also featured plenty of A-list attendees, including Madonna, Paris Hilton, Selena Gomez and more.

Reps for Simon & Schuster as well as Spears didn’t immediately return Page Six’s requests for comment.

Page Six previously broke the news that the “Crossroads” star’s book, which publishing insiders described as a “groundbreaking instant best-seller,” would be published in the fall.

“Britney’s book is a story of triumph,” one source told us.

“It will cover her most vulnerable moments, her childhood – being a little girl with big dreams – her breakup with Justin Timberlake, the moment she shaved her head, and her battle with her family over her conservatorship.”

“It is also a story of survival, finding her way out of the crippling conservatorship to finding happiness with her husband Sam Asghari.”

Spears worked with ghostwriter Sam Lansky to perfect her novel, which she agreed to pen after signing a whopping $15 million deal.

The “Sometimes” singer has mentioned her book in various Instagram posts, and at one point revealed she had “3 different versions” of it.
