NextImg:Brian Daboll’s uninhibited reaction after Jaxson Dart’s first Giants touchdown: ‘That’s our f–king guy!’

Brian Daboll has a man crush.

The Giants’ coach screamed “That’s our f–king guy” after a rushing touchdown by Jaxson Dart during his first NFL start in Sunday’s win over the Chargers, as seen in the team’s behind-the-scenes video.

Daboll pumped his fist before unleashing his roar toward the Giants’ sidelines — and perhaps the fans — after the 15-yard scamper gave the Giants an early seven-point lead in their 21-18 win.

The Giants are hopeful they finally found their quarterback in Dart and his success could tie into whether Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen can extend their stays in East Rutherford.

Schoen traded up in the 2025 draft to land the former Ole Miss star in hope of providing stability at the game’s most important position at a time when there is plenty of speculation about his and Daboll’s futures in their respective roles.

The Giants opened the season with Russell Wilson under center and promptly went 0-3, with the veteran turning in two duds and one prolific performance in a shootout loss to the Cowboys.

Amid fans chants for Dart to play, Daboll and the team’s decision makers turned to Dart on Sunday in hope he could galvanize the squad.

Dart certainly showed some upside by leading an upset of the previously undefeated Chargers even while losing Malik Nabers to a season-ending ACL tear.

He completed 13-of-20 passes for 111 yards and one touchdown, while adding 10 rushes for 54 yards and one score against one of the NFL’s top defenses.

The Giants’ video showed Daboll giving Dart a hearty bear hug on the field after the game ended and then saying something with an expletive while patting the quarterback’s chest.

He later gave Dart a game ball in the locker room.

“That’s a great f–king job, guys,” Daboll said to the team before awarding Dart his ball.

Dart then offered an uplifting message to his players.

“The expectation every time we step on the f–king field is to f–king win,” Dart said. “Every rep in practice, every one-on-one, it don’t f–king matter, the expectation is to win.

“I’m proud of y’all boys, that s–t wasn’t clean all the way through on the offensive side but defensive held it down for us, much appreciated. Love ya’ll boys, let’s f–king start stacking this s–t.”

Dart and the Giants will look to win a second straight game Sunday in New Orleans against the Saints, and they are two-point underdogs at BetMGN.
