Daniel Jones will at least make it to Week 2 as the Giants’ starter.

Head coach Brian Daboll confirmed on Monday afternoon that Jones would start the second game of the season after <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/09/09/sports/its-not-time-for-giants-to-bench-daniel-jones-but-its-getting-close/">a disastrous Week 1 performance in a 28-6 loss to the Vikings.</a>

Jones completed 22-of-42 passes for 186 yards and two interceptions and looked out of sorts all day as he was booed repeatedly.

Daboll, though, said nothing would change in preparation for the Commanders on Sunday.

The Giants have no plans to give backups Drew Lock or Tommy DeVito additional work in practice, nor are they considering signing another quarterback.
