You’ve heard of pale ale, now get ready for pizza ale.

Belgium Brewing Co. has teamed up with the frozen pizza brand Tombstone to create “IP(izza)A,” — a pie-flavored brew.

While it may seem like an unlikely duo, grabbing a slice and a pint is every classic bar’s bread and butter — after all, people already make pizza dough with beer.

“Pizza and beer are undisputedly classics in their own rights and as a brand born in a bar, the collab between Tombstone and Voodoo Ranger delivers on the promise of bold, full-on flavor,” Tombstone said in a statement, per the Denver Post.

New Belgium and Tombstone teamed up to create a brew combining two bar staples: pizza and beer. VooDoo Ranger

According to the website, boozers will get hints of “crispy crust, tangy tomato sauce, and savory herbs and spices” while sipping on the 7% limited edition Voodoo Ranger IPA, made specifically for “the boldest of beer and pizza lovers.”

“The finishing pepperoni kick of heat that will make you reach for another slice… or another pint,” the brewing company’s site reads.

According to the Denver Post, Tombstone, a Wisconsin-based brand, approached the Fort Collins, Colorado, brewery about a collaboration paying homage to the pizza’s “born-in-a-bar heritage,” which is slated to be released on April 7, National Beer Day.

The limited edition 7% ABV brew promises notes of crust, tomato sauce and a kick of pepperoni.

A four-pack of Voodoo Ranger’s “I(Pizza)A” will be available in select stores for $49.99 a pop, but one lucky barfly could score a free four-pack from New Belgium, which is running a contest online until the day of the launch.

But this isn’t the first bizarre pizza hybrid product. Last month, KFC announced the “Chizza” — a mash-up of fried chicken and pizza — while DiGiorno debuted a Thanksgiving pie topped with classic Turkey Day fixings, like green beens, sweet potato, gravy, cranberry and, of course, turkey.
