The body of an unidentified man was pulled from a Central Park lake in Manhattan on Sunday afternoon, police said.
The man’s body was floating in the Harlem Meer near 110th Street and 5th Avenue before it was recovered by first responders around 3:15 p.m., according to the NYPD.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The medical examiner’s office will determine the cause of death, police said.
Photos from the scene showed the body floating in the lake as members of the Emergency Service Unit retrieved the corpse.
An investigation into the death is underway, cops said.
The nearly 10-acre lake is man-made and only 5-feet 7-inches feet deep, according to the city’s Department of Environmental Conservation.
