The man accused of killing a Maryland judge was found dead by authorities Thursday morning while conducting an “evidentiary search.”

Police had found Pedro Argote’s SUV in the area near Williamsport over the weekend, and have since been searching the area for Argote — who is accused of gunning down Maryland judge Andrew Wilkinson, 52, in his driveway last week.

He was believed to have been on the run ever since the fatal shooting.

Police said the attack was “targeted” after Wilkinson granted his ex-wife custody of his children in a divorce case.
