So, you’re saying there’s a chance?
It may have taken until the late October, but the Giants won their first game at home of the season and kept their hopes of playing playoff football alive.
But there’s no room for error at this point.
Their 14-7 victory against the Washington Commanders was a much-needed development after what has been nothing more than a complete nightmare of a season, filled with injuries and disappointing performances.
The defense stayed hot for another week by racking up six sacks and forcing 10 Washington punts.
Tyrod Taylor also helped the G-Men accomplish something they haven’t done all season as well: score a touchdown in the first half.
Darren Waller and Saquon Barkley both helped to buck that trend with their respective touchdowns.
While their 2-5 record still doesn’t reek of playoff aspirations, the Giants schedule does appear to be a little more favorable than their first seven contests. However, because of the hole they’ve dug themselves, Big Blue needs to make sure they take care of business from here on out.
And that beings with their MetLife Stadium roommates, the New York Jets, this Sunday.
To react to the encouraging win against the Commanders, we bring you a new “Blue Rush” podcast with Lawrence Tynes, Brandon London and Paul Schwartz.
