He’s bearing all his dance moves.
A black bear in a Chinese zoo left tourists astonished when the bruin performed a TikTok dance for the crowd.
In the 9-second clip, the black bear mimics a Chinese zoo tourist who busted out a trending move for the animal.
The man signaled the Chinese “Flower Handshake” dance to the three black bears who stood on their hind legs.
The “Flower Handshake” dance move is popular in China and incorporates your wrists joined together while your hands move in a circular motion above your head.
The man told the Bruins to “shake a flower hand.”
While the other two bears appeared clueless to the command, one break-out star bear understood the assignment and danced back to the Northern China zoo spectators.
While many people were impressed by the black bear’s intricate dance moves, some are skeptical that it was deceptive.
However, just like waving Malaysian sun bear at Hangzhou Zoo, the bear invading a refrigerator for lasagna and the bear crashing a family BBQ, these animals seem only to be evolving and picking up more human-like mannerisms.
Chinese news outlet Hangzhou Daily mentioned people often have doubts about bears’ identity “because of the way they stand, some people online question whether they are ‘humans in disguise.’”
While it is unclear whether or not the dancing TikTok animal naturally has a rhythm like Baloo in Disney’s “Jungle Book” or is a human in costume, the North China Zoo should anticipate more tourists stopping by to catch a front row view of the bear’s next TikTok performance.
In August, when the waving bear went viral, the Hangzhou Zoo noticed a 30% increase in visitor numbers in the eastern Zhejiang province a day after the video of the Malaysian sun bears lit up Chinese social media over the weekend.
“After seeing this bear standing up on the internet, I wanted to see how it looks in real life, so I came here,” said a man who added that he did not fully believe the video he saw online.
