A Bay Ridge man who allegedly stabbed and killed his mom during an argument over money was a political volunteer with aspirations toward elected office.
Vladislav Deshkovich, 30, was charged with murder Saturday after his mother Inna Deshkovich was found stabbed multiple times in the neck and body with a knife, police said.
The woman’s neighbor told police she knocked on Inna’s door after hearing an argument Friday evening.
The son answered the door, and told the concerned neighbor he and his mother were “fighting about money” — and that he had knocked the older woman unconscious, police sources said.
The neighbor called 911.
Deshkovich, who had volunteered for City Councilman Ari Kagan (R-Brooklyn), never announced an official candidacy but touted on social media that he planned to run for state Senate.
He popped up in photos ops with Kagan and others, and created Instagram and X accounts for his would-be campaign.
“He was not my political operative,” Kagan told The Post.
“He volunteered for me once. I met him like three times. He likes to post photos all the time.”
Deshkovich was awaiting arraignment Saturday.
A neighbor who identified himself as Tim said his girlfriend heard the mother screaming.
“I guess it was quick, because they just stopped,” he said.
“This was a common occurrence, the arguments, for years. They would get heated, they’d yell at each other back and forth, in I think Russian, we would hear the screaming.”
Neighbor Anne Sgoupis said the victim’s ex-husband told cops the son wanted to talk to his mom about money.
“That he wanted money,” she said.
“He needed money.”
