NextImg:Billy Crystal is haunted by his dead wife in chilling trailer for Apple TV+ thriller 'Before': "You know what you did"

Apple TV+ unveiled the thrilling new trailer for its upcoming series Before, starring Billy Crystal in a role unlike anything we’ve seen from the comedy legend.

The psychological drama stars Crystal as Eli, a psychiatrist struggling with the recent death of his wife, played by award-winning actress Judith Light.

But a larger mystery seems to be afoot, suggesting there’s more to her death than meets the eye, especially when a troubled young boy ends up on his doorstep.

Noah “seems to have a haunting connection to Eli’s past,” the show’s official description reads. “As Eli attempts to help Noah, their mysterious bond deepens.”

The trailer shows Eli being haunted by the lingering presence of his wife as he struggles to understand Noah, whom his foster parent called “unnerving.”

“I’m starting to feel like there’s a reason he found me,” Eli says after finding the troubled young boy quite literally scratching at his door.

At another disturbing moment of the trailer, Noah appears haunted as he warns Eli, “You know what you did.” Was Eli involved in his wife’s death? Or was Noah? There’s only one way to find out.

Eli seems to be struggling with his own mental health as the lines between dreams and reality begin to blur the more involved he gets with Noah’s case.

Before stars Jacobi Lupe as Noah, The Flight Attendant actress Rosie Perez as Noah’s foster parent, as well as Orange is the New Black actress Maria Dizzia.

Crystal also serves as executive producer on the series alongside Eric Roth, pilot director Adam Bernstein and producing director Jet Wilkinson.

The 10-episode series will premiere with two new episodes Friday, Oct. 25, followed by new episode every week.
