The Jets-Bills games this upcoming season just got a whole lot spicier.
Bills tackle Dion Dawkins called Jets defensive end Micheal Clemons a “bitch boy” and ripped the Jets in a scathing takedown of their AFC East rivals.
“Weirdos being weird. I don’t want to even give the man no credit talking about him, No. 72, Michael Clemons, bitch boy, bitch boy,” a shirtless Dawkins said on VladTV. “I hate them. All of them.
“When it comes to sports, there’s people that play the sport because they love the sport. And then there’s people that play the sport just to try to be cool. I feel like they play the sport to try to be cool. Those are a bunch of dudes that want to take pictures on Instagram. That’s whack. I play this because I die by this.”
Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner responded with a pair of tweets.
“He gon’ say we be trynna be cool, but went on Vlad and don’t have a shirt on????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????,” Gardner tweeted.
He added: “I play this game because I love it and it takes care of my family. It also gives me a platform to inspire the youth. I have no ‘NFL beef’ with anybody. I didn’t know that was a thing til I just watched this video????.”
While Dawkins has issues with the Jets in general, he seems to have the biggest problems with Clemons.
The two had an altercation during a game in November, then had to be separated while leaving the field via a tunnel inside Highmark Stadium following the Bills’ 32-6 win in Week 11.
Dawkins said after the game he was not a fan of the Jets and called them “very disrespectful players.”
Warning: Explicit language
The tackle offered his side of the story in this interview, saying that Clemons was running his mouth late in the game, even talking to Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
Dawkins alleges Clemons then went after Bills receiver Gabe Davis and the Bills’ offensive line.
“(Davis), you f–king suck, f–k you,” Dawkins said of Clemons’ comments. “(Spencer Brown), f-you. O’Cyrus (Torrence), f-you. Mitch (Morse), f-you. Connor (McGovern), f-you. (Dawkins), f-you. Went down the whole team, everyone on the field, pointing at us and just yapping his beak.”
Dawkins said he felt he then had to defend his teammates, calling himself the “OG” of the line.
“I told him, ‘Remember what you said, son,'” Dawkins said. “The first play, I’m taking you out.”
The next play allowed Dawkins to block Clemons and he said he “killed the kid, murdered him. Took him off his feet,” and then “bellyflopped on him” since the referees hadn’t blown the whistle.
Dawkins received an unnecessary roughness penalty on the play, which happened with more than 12 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
Clemons then approached Dawkins in the tunnel after the game and Dawkins pushed him during the skirmish.
“When he did that, I’m like, first, you don’t really want to fight me, you’re really a bitch, you’re not really bout what you’re bout,” Dawkins said. “I’m like, ‘Bro, don’t say nothing to me.'”
He added of his shove: “Get away from me, you ho.”
Dawkins then doubled down on his assessment while calling out Clemons for hitting a referee and screaming “f–k you” at fans.
“He’s weird,” Dawkins said of Clemons.
While he dressed down Clemons, Dawkins actually praised one Jets star, though, along with former coach Todd Bowles and Jets defensive assistant Ryan Davis.
“Quinnen Williams — solid. I respect the dude. Quinnen Williams is valid. I like him,” Dawkins said. “The rest of them, don’t care, don’t like you.”
