If President Biden was trying to make a joke, he bombed.

The 81-year-old commander-in-chief raised eyebrows Wednesday when he blurted out, “my Marine carries that, and has the code to blow up the world” after introducing himself to factory workers in Colorado.

“Nuclear weapons,” Biden added helpfully while touring CS Wind in Pueblo, touted by the White House as the largest wind tower manufacturer in the world.

The Republican National Committee shared a clip of Biden’s bizarre aside, causing confusion and consternation on social media.

“It should be illegal for this cognitively impaired man to be in charge of the nuclear codes,” Rogan O’Handley of the DC Draino newsletter wrote on X.

“In today’s edition of ‘What if Trump said that,'” added Connor Hennessey.

“He’s fine,” deadpanned Spectator USA contributing editor Stephen Miller.

Presidents are famously accompanied while traveling by a military aide carrying a briefcase with items that can be used to authorize a nuclear attack — including a card that contains authentication codes.

While the so-called “nuclear football” is a staple of every presidential trip, it’s exceedingly rare for a commander-in-chief to acknowledge its existence to factory workers.
