The Kentucky Wildcats are back on the gridiron after a bye week and they will host the No. 21 Tennessee Volunteers.
Tennessee is favored by 3.5 points on the road, which feels about right. The Volunteers make sense as a favorite but Kentucky is certainly capable of winning this game.
The biggest concern for Tennessee is that it has lost its only two road games by two touchdowns each. While I don’t expect a repeat of that necessarily, it does show that the Vols are a little less potent away from Knoxville. Quarterback Joe Milton is fine and will have a few good throws each game, but he’s not shredding defenses like Hendon Hooker did last year.
Kentucky started the season 5-0 before losing to Georgia and Missouri before the bye week. Devin Leary, much like his counterpart Milton, has also been just okay this year, so I don’t expect offensive fireworks. The Wildcats can at least go to running back Ray Davis, who has 781 rushing yards and eight touchdowns.
