If we had a dollar for every time we heard someone rave about the Stanley cup — either on social media or IRL — we’d be millionaires. Scratch that. Billionaires.
The infamous Stanley tumbler has been a prized addition to everyone’s work-from-home desks (including ours), a welcome carry-around-everywhere item — from in-store Target shopping sprees to 30-minute hot yoga — and a surefire 2023 Product of the Year.

Though not tremendously expensive, spending upwards of $50 for a literal water bottle isn’t ideal for some. Don’t get us wrong, hydrating is important (read: best electrolyte drinks and powders), but there are several other reusable water bottle brands we recommend that are far cheaper.
Alas, we’ve arrived at the dupes edit. Below, you’ll find several of the Internet’s finest alt-versions of the Stanley tumbler — some of which we’ve tested ourselves. Though they may not flaunt the iconic Stanley design, they’re guaranteed to keep your beverage iced cold and to do the job just fine.
When we first thought of Stanley dupes, we instantly thought of this product. The Simple Modern Insulated Tumbler with Lid and Straw has been praised en masse for its sleek design, straw-topped lid and less-than-$25 price tag.
Though it’s not insulated, the Five Below 40-Ounce Ombre Hydraquench Tumbler with Handle is the most affordable dupe we’ve found — just less than $6! — and is generous in capacity. The solution? Add plenty of ice, and you have yourself the Stanley-alt on a budget.
The Embark 40-Ounce Steel Straw Tumbler is a wonderful $15 find that left one reviewer saying, it “keeps everything cold.” Other colors are available and it carries a ton of water with its handle-fledging design — like Stanley’s.
The Personalized 40-OunceTumbler with Handle and Straw is one of our favorite Etsy finds — even one of our favorite Etsy gifts for anyone you’re shopping for. It’s fair price and similar look have us adding it to our wishlists.
We love Corkcicle (in fact, it was the first reusable water bottle brand we tried — coming in handy for trips to the beach, especially). Its Cold Cup Tumbler with Straw and Lid is one of the closest to Stanley’s praised version, and its subtle exterior indentation allows you to grasp it a bit easier. Plus, other fun colors are available to choose from.
Not to mention, this specific tumbler is one of Oprah’s Favorite Things this year.
Dupes are dupes for a reason — but the Hydro Flask 40-Ounce All Around Travel Tumbler looks exactly like Stanley’s version. It’s virtually copy-and-paste, with a stunning stainless steel accent and jug-like body to show for it. Carrying an impressive 40 ounces, this one is the up-and-coming dupe we recommend.

We’ve been hearing much talk about Owala, and its 40-Ounce Triple Layer Insulated Tumbler with Spill-Resistant Straw Lid is one of the most elegantly designed dupes to Stanley we’ve discovered. Most notably, it’s break-resistant, spill-resistant (thanks to its reinforced lid) and leak-proof.
