TBS will honor the late Matthew Perry‘s Chandler Bing with a special five-day-long Friends marathon highlighting his iconic character.
According to Deadline, the network’s marathon will begin on Wednesday, Nov. 1, and continue through Sunday, Nov. 5, with each day’s episode lineup being selected with a particular theme related to our beloved Friend. Saturday and Sunday’s schedules will be “encores” of the previous three days’ episodes, per Variety.
Max, the platform that is home to all ten seasons of the hit NBC sitcom, also paid tribute to the actor’s work with a tribute card featured at the beginning of each season premiere episode.
Perry tragically passed away on Saturday (Oct. 28) at his home in Los Angeles of an apparent drowning at age 54.
The Friends cast released an emotional joint statement yesterday to People, explaining that they “are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew.”
“We were more than just cast mates,” they continued. “We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss. In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”
