NextImg:Best bralettes and wireless bras for comfortable support in every size

Is it so hard to find a bra that feels like clouds and pillows? Yes. Yes, it is. There’s nothing more annoying than gapping, bands digging into skin, straps falling off our shoulder — the list goes on. The best bra and bralette will be a nice balance of comfort and support, while still being stylish.

With that said, we still want it to look cute enough to match our pajamas and underwear. Why should we have to sacrifice style for comfort? Can’t both coexist?

The truth is, they both can, but it can be pretty challenging to land the best of both bra worlds when you’re not sure where to look. That’s where we come in. Whether you’re searching for supportive plus size bras or a fun lacy bralette, we’ve scoured the reviews to find the best bras and bralette you can confidently wear.

Before you add any to your cart, Bra Fittings by Court, which was founded by bra fit expert Courtney Killpack offers a resource on how to determine the right cup and band size for you. We’ve condensed it down and added the most important tips from Killpack below to help you on your journey to owning the comfiest bras below.

This is located between where the two underwires meet and should lay flat separating each boob. If it’s laying against them then that’s a sign to go up a cup size or two, according to the site.

If you find what Killpack describes as the “double boob” coming out of the top of the cup, it’s time to go up a cup size. Similar to the top cup, the bottom cup should lay flat against your skin with a finger-width of space between your breast and underwire — or else the cup size needs to be bigger.

On the opposite end, if there is any gapping you should do the opposite and go down a cup size until it’s flat against your skin.

According to Killpack’s sizing advice, the band of your bra “is where 95% of your support comes from.” If it’s riding up your back, then that’s a sign the band is too big and you need to size down and vice-versa. A well fitting band should sit low and snug on your back on the loosest hook setting.

Keep an eye on your straps too — if they keep falling off your shoulders that’s a sign your band is too big and you need to size down.
