Former NBA star Ben Gordon was arrested in Connecticut on Tuesday for allegedly threatening workers at a juice shop with a knife.

Workers at Juice Kings in Stamford called police after the 40-year-old Gordon was allegedly exhibiting bizarre behavior and wielding a knife, according to TMZ.

Gordon, who has now been arrested three times in the last six months, won a national championship at UConn and was once the Sixth Man of the Year as a member of the Chicago Bulls.

In the latest incident, Stamford police said they were able to quickly get him to leave the juice establishment, but he became hostile when they sought to pat him down, and that it ultimately took several officers to subdue the former basketball player.

Police said Gordon continued to act erratically after he was transferred to the station, and that he received a mental health evaluation at a nearby hospital.

TMZ later acquired a video of police arresting Gordon, showing him resisting as five officers finally were able to wrangle him.

Ultimately, he was released on $10,000 bond after a group of Gordon’s friends and a police behavioral unit were able to calm him down for processing.

Gordon was charged with one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct plus three felony counts of carrying a dangerous weapon.

There will be a court hearing later in April.

Gordon was previously arrested in November after he was accused of beating up two security guards at a McDonald’s in Chicago, and he was also arrested in October for allegedly striking his 10-year-old son in the face at Laguardia airport.

Gordon was selected third overall in the 2004 NBA Draft by the Bulls.

He played five seasons for Chicago, three years for the Pistons, two for the Hornets and one for the Magic in an NBA career that concluded in 2015.

According to Basketball Reference, Gordon made about $85 million in his NBA career.
