The Below Deck Season 12 finale is quickly sailing toward us, but it sounds like the real drama happened after the cameras went down.

In what Andy Cohen described as the “horniest” season of Below Deck, stew Bárbara Kulaif and deckhand Jess Theron were among the kiss-happy crew members to strike up a romance. However, their journey didn’t come without scandal, as Theron also locked lips with fellow stew Soléne Favreau, sparking a dramatic love triangle.

While Theron ultimately chose to be with Kulaif for the remainder of their time on St. David, the latter revealed how their relationship soon fizzled out once they were back on dry land.

“After [filming], we were at the hotel in Saint Martin. I went to Jess’ hotel room—because we were supposedly together—and we had a fight because in my mind, they still had a thing,” Kulaif said on Monday night’s (Sept. 8) episode of Watch What Happens Live. “I wasn’t wrong, by the way. So, we had a fight and I went to my room.”

After Kulaif left Theron’s hotel room, she went to Favreau to vent about their argument. She told her co-star that she was “upset about the fight” but “not surprised” that it happened.

When everyone was leaving the hotel to go home to their respective countries the next morning, Kulaif was shocked by what she witnessed.

“When we were walking—me, Damo [Yörg], and Fraser [Olender]—Jess opened the door [to her hotel room] and she left with Soléne and Soléne was naked,” she recalled. “She walked [out] with no T-shirt. Everyone was like, ‘What happened?’”

According to Kulaif, Theron and Favreau make a better couple than she and Theron ever did.

“They both need to grow up together,” she quipped.

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
