There are rough seas ahead for Below Deck Down Under stars Harry Van Vliet and Tzarina Mace-Ralph.
Appearing virtually on Monday night’s (May 19) episode of Watch What Happens Live from a cafe in Nicaragua, Van Vliet told host Andy Cohen why he and Mace-Ralph — both of whom joined Below Deck Down Under in Season 2 before returning for Season 3 — are no longer following each other on Instagram.
“I didn’t stop following Tzarina, actually,” Van Vliet clarified. “I got blocked by Tzarina on Instagram after expressing my feelings and thoughts on the way she was blasting and the way she was commenting on each episode each week. I didn’t like what I was seeing. I don’t support bullying. And I tried to express that to her as a friend and her response was to block me.”
Van Vliet’s confession shocked Cohen, who asked if they’ve spoken much since she blocked him.
“Not really at the moment,” Van Vliet said. “But everyone processes differently and it’ll be alright in the end, I’m sure. Everyone’s going through something. I was just trying to keep the peace.”
Van Vliet previously said something similar during a recent Q&A, prompting Mace-Ralph’s foe Lara Rigby to comment, “Finally, someone speaks out! Remember, you only see a small snippet of what was really going on. I have kept very quiet about the situation on socials, but it’s people’s real lives affected by this! We need more people like Harry in the world,” per RealityTea.
Earlier in the broadcast, Van Vliet gushed over his long-standing friendship with Mace-Ralph.
“Having known her from our previous seasons together, she was a great person to confide in,” he said. “We’d both been through a lot together already. We were about to do it again. We were great friends going into the season.”
However, he only gave her a “five” or a “six” when ranking her ability to take accountability for her own actions.
“She’s good, but I think [she] could be better,” Van Vliet said.
Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
