true crime

After 10 seasons on Below Deck and an illustrious yachting career, Captain Lee Rosbach knows a thing or two about what can happen on the high seas. Over the years, he has dealt with his fair share of rowdy yachties and demanding charter guests, which makes him ready for anything—even true crime! Captain Lee’s latest adventure takes him to the helm of Oxygen’s new series, Deadly Waters with Captain Lee. Consisting of 8 episodes, the show shines a spotlight on criminals who thought that being on the open water while committing shocking murders would shield them from justice.

“I’ve spent over half of my life at sea traveling around the world,” says Captain Lee in the series trailer. “But it’s not always smooth sailing.” From dream vacations gone wrong, to deadly day sailing trips, to alleged pirate encounters, and everything in between, these nautical true crime stories are unique. Thanks to his years of experience, Captain Lee is the perfect steward to help guide audiences through the details of these grisly cases.

“For the first time ever, we’re exposing a bigger threat than Mother Nature,” intones Captain Lee ominously: “People with a deadly agenda.” With his trademark gravitas and easy charm, Captain Lee will highlight the various investigations by expert teams—on all bodies of water—and the clues that ultimately sink the culprits and lead to their arrests. The true crime series will also include interviews with various maritime specialists, police investigators, and the victims’ families to provide audiences with well-rounded views of the cases.

“The water can be a very dangerous place,” warns Captain Lee. Luckily, with Captain Lee steering the ship, viewers can feel safe as they embark on remarkable true crime voyages.

Deadly Waters with Captain Lee premieres Saturday, June 1 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Oxygen
