The family of a 6-year-old Louisiana girl who was allegedly murdered by her dad’s live-in girlfriend and carted off in a bucket decried the “senseless and heinous act” — and paid tribute to the “funny” and “amazing” kindergartener.

Bella Fontenelle’s aunt shared the heartbreaking message on a GoFundMe page after her niece was allegedly killed last week by Bunnak “Hannah” Landon, 43.

“Where do I start… my beautiful Bella… the world is so unjust. You were given to us for 6 amazing years,” Bianca Cano wrote on the fundraiser launched Saturday.

“You were beyond perfection. Your beautiful little voice, your funny personality, the way you danced, the way you were so delicate and fragile, your smile, your laugh, the way expressed yourself. I can go on and on about how amazing this little soul was,” she continued.

“This senseless and heinous act has forever destroyed my family. No words can describe the pain that is running through our bodies. It’s truly inhumane,” Cano added.

She said she was launching the fundraiser to help her sister, identified by Fox 8 Live as Jennifer Zeledon, a single mother who lives on Sedgfield Drive in the New Orleans suburb of Harahan.

“I’d like to thank everyone again from the bottom of our hearts during these horrible trying days,” Cano wrote.

Police launched an investigation after Bella’s father, Michael Fontenelle, reported his daughter and girlfriend missing on Wednesday morning.

Bunnak “Hannah” Landon, 43, was charged with first-degree murder and obstruction of justice.

Police obtained chilling surveillance video from neighbors showing a woman matching Landon’s description wheeling a large bucket on a wagon in the area.

The evidence led police to Zeledon’s front lawn, where the girl’s body was discovered in a bucket.

Harahan Police Chief Edward Lepre said Landon arrived at the police station asking for help shortly after the ghastly crime.

“She seemed a little bit out of it. She was asking for a transport so they called for an ambulance to come pick her up and once the ambulance came to pick her up, they transported her to a local hospital to be evaluated,” Lepre told Fox 8 Live.

Landon was discharged Thursday morning and charged with first-degree murder and obstruction of justice.

Landon was allegedly caught on video carrying Bella’s body in a bucket to the home of the girl’s mother.

“We’re going to work until the end to make sure we get a conviction,” the chief said. “This is a small baby, and any family would be devastated. I can only imagine what the mother and father are going through right now.”

Last week, Jefferson Parish Coroner Gerry Cvitanovich said the preliminary autopsy results showed Bella’s cause of death to be “manual strangulation along with blunt force injuries to the head.”

A petition for a temporary restraining order shows there were conflicts between Landon and Zeledon dating back to 2021.

On March 17, 2021, the two women got into a physical altercation during a children’s swim meet and Bella’s dad had to intervene, according to a court filing cited by the news outlet.

Bella Fontenelle

Bella Fontenelle lived with her dad, her little sister and Landon in a home just blocks away from her mother.

Meanwhile, the community remembered Bella, who attended St. Matthew the Apostle School, during a church service Sunday.

“It’s a close-knit community and we need to be here for them,” resident Anne Graffagnini told WLTV. “It was unbelievable, so heart wrenching, just hard to believe we were sitting there for that reason.”

Another neighbor, Steve Morris, told Fox 8 Live that Bella “had the biggest smile. She was the first one that would approach you and share and just giggle.”

He added: “I would see the little girl and the older sister out in the driveway playing many times, riding their little bikes. The mother would sit out there with them. The grandparents would sit out there with them. It was just beautiful to watch.”
