A BBC reporter has wowed fans after sharing a series of holiday snaps that show her looking very different look to how she appears on-screen.

British newsreader Sally Nugent was flooded with comments on a string of snaps taken during a getaway to Spain with friends.

The 51-year-old, who recently announced her separation from husband of 13 years Gavin Hawthorn, donned a casual yet glamorous look after she jetted to Marbella shortly after the shock split.

The TV professional stunned her 70,000 followers by rocking a see-through white dress that featured a number of cut-outs while enjoying a cocktail at a beach club.

“You look so hot Sally,” one fan commented.

“Looking fabulous,” another added, as one simply said: “Stunning Sal.”

Nugent’s “sexy” new look comes just weeks after the BBC Breakfast star separated from her husband, 52.

She has been “very private” about her marriage with Hawthorn in the past and has also taken great lengths to keep their son out of the limelight too, The Sun reported.

However, their relationship was rocked by “affair” claims in 2020 after rumors emerged on Twitter Nugent was having an affair with her co-star Dan Walker – a claim that was very quickly shut down.

Walker responded to unfounded claims the pair were “sleeping together”, writing on Twitter: “‘That bird’ is my friend @sallynugent and she is happily married.

“What a pathetic thing to tweet. I hope you treat that young girl in your Twitter banner photo with a bit more respect.”

Hawthorn is said to have moved out of the home they bought together in Cheshire, about 45 minutes southwest of Manchester in northern England in 2012.

Nugent has been reported as being left “devastated” by their split, but fans hope her recent holiday will help.

“You deserve a holiday,” one follower commented.

“Special times with friends, just what you need right now,” another agreed.
