NextImg:Bad blood between Kellyanne Conway and Molly Jong-Fast sends DC into frenzy

It’s the Jong-Fast and the furious!

Word from DC is that, in a town characterized by nothing so much as its bitter factions, rank suspicion and entrenched, warring interests — the most acrimonious clash of the moment may not be the one between Democrats and Republicans but the one between liberal media darling Molly Jong-Fast and Trumpworld power broker Kellyanne Conway.

Almost as soon as the festivities for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner began on Saturday morning, Page Six heard a flurry of increasingly wild accounts about the pundit/pol pair at various boozy fêtes and smoochy get-togethers.

While many of the frothier claims seem to be the result of a heady mix of too much Trump Winery chardonnay and policy wonks getting overexcited about being invited to a party, the bottom line is pretty obvious: These two hate each other.

Both say they scarcely give the other a moment’s thought. But that seems to be something of an alternative fact in both cases.

Conway reportedly approached Jong-Fast and told her, “You’re a mess!” at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

The cold light of day suggests that at some point during the run-up to the big bash, Conway spotted the “Fast Politics” podcaster and told her, “You’re a mess!” (Conway declined to comment on the alleged barb). And that Jong-Fast then told more or less everyone that Conway was menacingly following her around the party circuit.

The disagreement seems to stem from the fact that the former Vogue writer — a longtime pal of Conway’s estranged husband, George, co-founder of the Lincoln Project — was the first to publicly hint (albeit cryptically) at the Conways’ impending divorce.

In March, Jong-Fast asked George on her show if “there’s going to be a change in your life.” He replied: “It’s possible.” (Page Six first made sense of the exchange, reporting that the most bizarre Beltway couple in recent memory was kaput).

Kellyanne told us, “I’ve never had a conversation with this person in my life . . . She does love attention, though, and knows it’s easier to get it with my name attached.”

Jong-Fast told us, “My association with her does me no good, I promise you that.”

Makes the RNC and the DNC seem like snuggle buddies.
