Nicole Kidman gets to be babygirl, and now you get to watch her be babygirl from your home, because Babygirl is releasing on digital platforms tomorrow.
Written and directed by Halina Reijn, who put herself on the filmmaking map with 2022’s Bodies Bodies Bodies, Babygirl stars Nicole Kidman as a high-ranking CEO who falls into a salacious affair with her young intern, played by Harris Dickinson. But this isn’t just a regular, bland, extra-marital affair. It’s a kinky, BDSM-related affair where Harris Dickinson tells Nicole Kidman what to do, and she’s all too happy to do it. You know those CEOs and their submission kinks.
Also starring Sophie Wilde and Antonio Banderas, Babygirl is both entertaining and salacious, and will no doubt peak the interest of folks who either didn’t get a chance, or weren’t brave enough, to see this kinky movie in theaters.

Beginning on Tuesday, January 28 at 12 a.m. Eastern Time (which is also 9 p.m. Pacific Time on Monday, January 27 you will be able to buy a digital copy of Babygirl on platforms like Amazon Prime, Vudu, Apple TV, and more. The price may vary depending on which platform you use to buy the film, but on Amazon, the film cost $24.99 to pre-order a digital copy. Babygirl will not yet be available to rent online.
Babygirl is not currently available to stream on any subscription-based services, but the film will eventually be coming to streaming, on Max, thanks to the 2023 deal between A24 and Warner Bros. Discovery, which brings A24’s previous and upcoming theatrical releases to the streaming service Max.
The Babygirl streaming release date on Max has not yet been announced, but we can make an educated guess as to when you can expect to see Babygirl on Max.
The A24 deal is a “Pay-1 deal,” which means A24 movies will start streaming on Max in the “Pay 1 window,” meaning that Max will be the first “TV channel” to pay for the rights to Babygirl, after the film has been released on digital and home media. One recent A24 title, We Live in Time, will begin streaming on Max on February 7— about four months after its release in theaters, and about three months after its release on digital. If Babygirl follows a similar release strategy, you’ll see Babygirl streaming on Max around April 2025. That said, perhaps the movie will come to streaming sooner, to capitalize on awards season.
