NextImg:Attack on Israel exposes cowardice of bandwagon-jumping celebs

Celebrities and influencers rarely miss the opportunity to jump on a political bandwagon.

But the senseless slaughter of at least 900 Jews in Israel and kidnapping of countless more — gleefully broadcast by bloodthirsty Hamas terrorists — has sadly triggered a relatively anemic response from the boldface social justice class.

The same celebrities who love to fight the power and jump on fashionable causes like supporting Ukraine and combating climate change (while flying around in private jets) have been chillingly quiet — exposing their collective ignorance of history and sheer cowardice.

The small list of folks who have expressed horror include Amy Schumer, Mark Hamill, Madonna, Ashley Tisdale, Amar’e Stoudemire, Liev Schreiber, and Natalie Portman and Gal Gadot, who were both born in Israel.

Then there’s the spineless makeup saleswomen Kylie Jenner.

Over the weekend, the 26-year-old reposted a meme from Stand With Us, a pro-Israel nonprofit, to Instagram: “Now and always, we stand with the people of Israel!”

Kylie Jenner posted and deleted a pro-Israel post after getting slammed by supporters of Palestine.

It was a relatively mild offering, as far as a political take, devoid of specific heartfelt sentiment.

A cut-and-paste job to check off the box of “I’m a good human.”

But it proved too hot. And she too naive. Jenner was hammered online.

“Don’t get involved in politics and say that u support i**ael. P@lestine has been suffering for ages,” one person chimed in on a later post.

“Are u even human if u are with zionists,” said another.

Kylie Jenner normally posts sexy shots and makeup tips, but trying weighed in on the attack on Israel.

Instead of standing firm behind the basic tenet that terrorism and targeting innocent civilians is unequivocally wrong — not exactly going out on a limb — Jenner must have realized that a simple Instagram forward was potentially bad for business. No bueno for the bottom line.

Within an hour of posting, she folded, deleting the offending post from her stories. Presto disappearo. Nothing more to see here. Murder away.

After all, just over a week ago, Jenner launched her new Power Plush Longwear Concealer along with her angled vegan brush, which is “cruelty free” as she noted in an Instagram post. Her family’s values are “always be selling,” and perhaps an anti-terrorism statement might not move the concealer.

Israel-born actress Natalie Portman was one of the few celebrities who came out early in defense of the country.

(Not that it helped: Her social media accounts continued to be flooded with Palestinian flags and #FreePalestine hashtags. Backing down to commercial interests only backed her into a corner.)

Are we looking to Kylie Jenner for anything other than advancement in facial fillers? No. But her back-pedaling is emblematic of the cowardice many have been lulled into by progressive social justice warriors who shepherd approved messaging.

Those invested in and actively rooting for the collapse of Western values around the world. Some of whom are elected officials in our country.

A March 2023 Gallup poll reveals the grim truth: Our country is losing its collective moral compass when it comes to the Jewish state. According to the poll, more Democrats are now more sympathetic to the Palestinian cause, and Americans aged 23 to 43 are evenly split between the two sides.

But this isn’t about siding with one group of people over another. It’s about fighting a terrorist organization that always chooses violence against innocents.

In a passionate video, former Knicks great Amar’e Stoudemire, who played hoops in Israel and converted to Judaism in 2020, called the relative silence hypocritical.

Revelers at the Tribe of Nova music festival were ambushed by Hamas terrorists who slaughtered over 200 people.

“And for all y’all Black Lives Matter [supporters] who ain’t saying nothing — ‘Well let me figure out exactly what’s happening before I say anything’ — f–k you,” he said in a scathing video.

“Figure out what? It ain’t never been cool to kidnap kids and put them in cages. Ain’t never been cool to kill women and elderly. Never been, no matter where you from, what you represent, what tribe you from, it don’t matter. It ain’t never been no cool thing.”

Especially when the evil acts overseas have emboldened a parade of anti-semitic cretins to march through the heart of New York City, cheering the deaths of innocent Jews and the destruction of Israel. It’s on our doorstep, folks.

This graphic photo shows bodies of massacred Tribe of Nova festivalgoers who were murdered as they tried to escape.

Thirty-one groups at America’s most prestigious university, Harvard, condemned Israel, calling the country “entirely responsible” for Hamas’ mass slaughter. Even our State Department posted and deleted two weak tweets urging Israel to stand down.

Actress Sara Foster, perhaps the last common sense person left in Los Angeles, best distilled the bizarre reaction to this weekend’s unspeakable atrocities, writing on instagram:

“If you are too scared to say you stand with Israel or even if you don’t, at least stand against 4-year-old children being dragged out of their beds by a terrorist organization.”
