The Astros were swept by the Yankees to start their 2024 season, but Ronel Blanco earned them their first win with a no-hitter against the Blue Jays in Houston on Monday.

Blanco struck out seven, walked two and didn’t allow a hit while throwing a complete game to secure MLB’s first no-hitter of the year.

There were four — by the Yankees’ Domingo German, the Astros’ Framber Valdez, the Phillies’ Michael Lorenzen and a combined no-hitter from the Tigers — thrown in 2023.

The Astros compiled 10 runs on 12 hits in their win against the Blue Jays.
