Ariana Madix is giving an update on where she currently stands with her former Vanderpump Rules co-stars. While Madix is unsurprisingly close with Katie Maloney — they co-own a sandwich shop, after all — it seems she’s drifted apart from the rest of the crew.

When Madix stopped by the Bravo Clubhouse for Sunday night’s (May 11) episode of Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen grilled her about her former castmates, all starting with how she felt about Jax Taylor checking himself into rehab in a recent episode of The Valley.

“I never would’ve thought he would’ve done that,” Madix said, noting that she’s still tight with both Brittany Cartwright and Kristen Doute. In response to how much Cartwright has been over her marriage with Taylor this season, Madix declared, “Hell yeah, brother!”

After the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 reunion, Madix’s friendships with both Lala Kent and Scheana Shay were strained. When Kent called Madix out for not filming with her ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval after she caught him cheating on her with their mutual friend Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, Shay appeared to side with Kent, causing strife in her longtime friendship with the Love Island USA host.

While Madix has not seen or spoken to Kent since the reunion, she revealed that she’s still friends with Shay, even if things are “not” how they used to be.

“I’d say we’re good,” she said. “[Shay] checked in on me during the fires and we chatted back and forth. It was her birthday this last week and she invited me to the [party] but I couldn’t go because I was here [in New York City].”

Madix also said she’s “cordial” with Tom Schwartz when they are at the same events, but noted that there is “not a relationship there.” She was not surprised that his and Sandoval’s restaurant Schwartz & Sandy’s shut down.

“I don’t know that I was surprised just because when I was a little bit more close to that situation, there were issues and there were things like that,” she said. “So it wasn’t that surprising.”

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
