Ariana Madix is kissing Los Angeles goodbye and saying hello to Fiji. With the Vanderpump Rules star taking over for Sarah Hyland as the host of Love Island USA Season 6, Peacock has released a first look at her highly anticipated new gig.
In a Barbie–coded teaser, Madix excitedly agrees to host Love Island USA as she travels to paradise via vibrantly-colored (and animated) transportation methods — much like Margot Robbie did to travel from Barbie Land to the real world in Greta Gerwig‘s Oscar-nominated flick.
“Look out world!” Iain Stirling narrates. “A hot new bombshell is heading to the Villa, where new adventures are going to take flight. Enjoy the ride while you can, ‘cause once the Islanders arrive they’re sure to make waves.”
Love Island USA invites a group of sexy singles in search of love to a luxurious villa, where newly-formed couples are put through a series of challenges that help them decide if they are happy where they are or if they’d like to find someone else.
The next season of the hit dating reality show promises to deliver “more drama than ever before with jaw-dropping revelations, brand new couples challenges and even a few surprise guests,” according to a press release shared with DECIDER. Like previous seasons, viewers will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite couples on the Love Island USA app to “determine which Islanders remain in the villa and who goes home heartbroken and empty-handed.”
Madix, who hit new levels of fame after her ex-boyfriend and Vanderpump Rules co-star Tom Sandoval was caught cheating on her with their mutual close friend Rachel “Raquel” Leviss last year, made a surprise appearance on Love Island USA Season 5.
The reality star previously told Rolling Stone that she was “over the moon” when she was asked to guest-star on the hit show.
“I have seen every episode of every iteration of Love Island and it is my favorite show,” she said in a July 2023 interview with the outlet. “Most of my friends are well aware of my obsession and were just as excited as I am for me to be able to live my dream.”
She officially confirmed that she would be stepping in for Hyland in a March Instagram video in which she told her followers, “I can’t wait to stir up trouble in paradise.”
You can catch Madix fulfilling her dreams when Love Island USA premieres on Tuesday, June 11 at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET on Peacock with new episodes dropping six days a week. Check out the first look above.
