The midseason trailer for Vanderpump Rules is finally here — and Ariana Madix is not playing around, especially when it comes to interacting with her ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval.
So far this season, the two have been able to avoid one another pretty seamlessly. However, a couple of cast events in the second half of Season 11 appear to bring them back together, whether Madix likes it or not.
In one scene, the Pump Rules squad heads to the beach, where Madix is seen repeatedly telling her ex-boyfriend not to speak to her. In another, the Broadway star breaks the fourth wall when she seemingly approaches producers to explain why she won’t have an on-air conversation with Sandoval.
It all starts when Madix storms away from Sandoval, who walks after her as he begs, “Ariana, wait one second.”
When the camera pans back to Madix, she tells what appears to be a producer, “He wants 30 seconds with the audience. He doesn’t give a fuck if I fucking died in a ditch.” Meanwhile, at the same event, Sandoval angrily tells the other castmates that Madix has “talked shit” about all of them. So we can’t blame her for setting her boundaries and walking away!
Madix isn’t the only one to acknowledge that they’re on a reality show. Scheana Shay also questions Sandoval’s motives — and whether his remorse is honest or solely to redeem himself in the public eye.
“I now have fucked up thoughts about Brock and Lala, one of my best friends, because I’m like, oh my god, can someone do that to me?” Shay passionately tells Sandoval. “You did that!”
When the duo breaks away for a private conversation, she asks her old pal what she means to him.
“You mean a lot,” he says, to which she questions, “Because we’re filming or because of life?”
The rest of the trailer also teases Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney‘s love triangle with the same girl (who also happens to be Shay’s nanny?!?). At one point, Schwartz even proposes that he and Maloney have a one-night stand, prompting the biggest eye-roll in history from his ex-wife.
Madix also introduces her new beau Daniel Wai to the cameras, while Jax Taylor makes his grand return to rip Sandoval a new one.
“You’ve been relentlessly talking shit about me,” Sandoval says, to which Taylor replies, “The whole world has talked shit about you! The whole entire world!”
But, perhaps one of the most shocking parts of the teaser is when Shay tells her husband Brock Davies that she doesn’t think they are going to be together forever, proving that this show never has a shortage of drama.
Vanderpump Rules airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
