Prime Video subscribers have a unique ability to build and curate a streaming lineup that works for them with Prime Video Channels add-ons — and as of yesterday, Apple TV+ is joining the ranks of streaming services you can add.
What are the benefits of this, you ask?
It streamlines streaming! Rather than having a bunch of log-ins to remember, you’ll be able to keep things simple with one log-in and one app for as many services as you decide to subscribe to through Prime Video.
And now, one of the most original streaming catalogs is available to add.
To bundle Apple TV+ with Prime Video, first, you’ll need to be an Amazon Prime member. Amazon Prime costs $14.99/month and includes the Prime Video streaming service.
From there, all you have to do is head over to the Apple TV+ subscription page and start your free trial. After one week free, you’ll pay an additional $9.99/month for the ad-free subscription to Apple TV+.
You’ll then be able to watch all of Apple TV+’s original series and films right inside of the Prime Video app.
Prime Video’s latest channel offering comes timed perfectly to the return of one of Apple TV+’s best comedies, Shrinking. Season 2 premieres today, October 16 and new episodes drop weekly every Wednesday. DECIDER Senior Reporter Nicole Gallucci wrote, “Shrinking’s sophomore season frequently feels explosive in the best way,” in her review of the new season.
In addition to that, there’s a lot more to look forward to. Billy Crystal returns to TV in the drama Before, premiering October 25. Season 2 of the Irish dramedy Bad Sisters premieres November 13, dystopian sci-fi series Silo returns on November 15, and spy thriller Slow Horses was just renewed for a sixth season ahead of the premiere of its fifth next year.
That’s not even counting some of the shows renewed for additional series without announced premiere windows: The Buccaneers, Platonic, For All Mankind, The Morning Show, Foundation, Mythic Quest, Loot, The Completely Made Up Adventures of Dick Turpin, and Palm Royale.
Of course, there’s also Season 2 of Severance on the way. The highly anticipated second installment of the workplace sci-fi thriller is premiering on January 17, 2025 — nearly three years after we first explored Lumon Industries.
But we’d be remiss to not mention some of Apple TV+’s completed shows that are still totally worth the binge watch: Servant, Lessons in Chemistry, Dickinson, Physical, The Afterparty, and Ted Lasso.
With the Apple TV+ add-on, you’ll also be able to watch Apple Original Films like Killers of the Flower Moon, Napoleon, Wolfs, The Instigators, Flora and Son, and more directly inside the Prime Video app. Additional Apple Original Films coming to the service before the end of the year include the rom-com Fly Me to the Moon and war drama Blitz.
