Diehard Taylor Swift fans fork over thousands of dollars to see the global superstar.
An apparent delusional stalker got into her Tribeca building for free.
Ashley Arbour, 43, was arrested authorities said he wrongly entered the superstar’s Big Apple digs. He was charged with two counts of trespassing, according to court papers.
A smiling Arbour, sporting a goatee, glasses and a royal blue shirt, was more than happy to speak to The Post following his arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court Saturday.
“I was disappointed,” he said of not finding Swift. “I love her. I want to marry her. I want her to be my anchor — someone that will have me stay put. I never had someone that kept me grounded.”
It’s the latest in a string of terrifying incidents with obsessed fans that Swift has endured during her meteoric career.
Arbour, who grew up in Michigan, claims he took a Greyhound bus from Atlanta to see the “Anti-Hero” singer, and proclaimed his love for her, bizarrely boasting that he had a prior relationship with the “Shake It Off” superstar.
An eagle-eyed resident prevented the creepy incident from escalating.
Arbour allegedly rang the bell until someone opened the door, he told The Post. The uninvited visitor navigated a long hallway and two doors beside the elevator and went into one when a woman inside asked what he was doing there.
When the topic of Swift came up, the savvy resident instructed Arbour to go outside, ring the bell and wait for someone to let him in.
When Arbour followed those instructions, the NYPD was waiting for him.
Arbour was released. He’s due back in court in October
Asked why he wanted to be with Swift, Arbour gushed: “Because she’s like most nurturing, like she is me except she is a woman. She is truly the only one that understands me.”
The Swift fanatic continued, “I know she knows I don’t mean any harm. I’d never hit a woman. I would not harm her — no, absolutely not.”
Arbour lamented that he has not seen Swift in concert.
“I have not been that lucky,” he said, adding, “I’m of sound mind. I was a little crazier when I was younger.”
He said he has no plans for a return visit to “Blank Space” singer’s residence.
“No, no. They told me to stay away from her place,” Arbour insisted. The homeless man said he would probably “stay in the area, rummage through the garbage for food.”
Added Arbour: “I’m a very determined fellow sometimes to my detriment. You gotta go for it when it comes to love because I don’t want to live in regret. That’s the worst. You are just sitting there like I could have done this, I should have done this. It’s a black hole.”
Said Arbour in parting words: “I love you Taylor. I want to spend the rest of my life making you happy, making you laugh and making up for the — what’s that word you use? Foolish behavior I expelled when I was 17. I love you.”
The bizarre incident comes on the heels of hundreds of Swifties swarming the songstress on Friday evening as she left a restaurant on Long Beach Island in New Jersey.
The pop superstar purportedly dined with A-list pals for Jack Antonoff’s rehearsal dinner ahead of his Saturday wedding to Margaret Qualley.
