NextImg:AOC critics say they were barred from attending chaotic town hall meeting

A Bronx activist with a history of heckling Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said he and at least one other critic were barred from giving the Democratic socialist an earful at a Friday town hall in Queens that devolved into chaos anyway.

Jose Vega tweeted video Saturday showing cops and Congressional security prohibiting him and a friend from entering the Corona town hall in which Ocasio-Cortez was blasted as a “piece of s—t” — for championing illegal immigrants ahead of Americans, supporting U.S funding for Ukraine, and other lefty causes.

“Both @Noggatone, who’s a constituent, and myself, are also not allowed into @AOC’s town halls,” tweeted Vega. “We were singled out. Which goes to show how scared she is.”

“I think this is kind of ridiculous,” the pal added. “They are not giving me any kind of reason whatsoever. They just escorted me out. I registered for this. I am a constituent, and they are not allowing me in.”

On Saturday, Ocasio-Cortez appeared oblivious to the venom, firing off a rosy tweet that made it seem as if she was warmly received at her town hall meeting.

“Thank you to everyone who came to our Memorial Day weekend town hall!” she tweeted. “We had such a great crowd. It was awesome answering all your questions, discussing the debt limit negotiations, and more. See you next month!”

At Friday’s event, one man held a small American flag and yelled “American citizens before migrants!” as he approached the congresswoman.

“Where are you on the migrant issue? You’re a piece of s–t!” he continued shouting.

The 33-year-old congresswoman laughed off the incident, responding, “OK,” as the man was escorted out.

The protesters also took issue with Ocasio-Cortez’s support for U.S. funding for Ukraine in its fight against invading Russian forces and her support for raising the debt ceiling.

“Stop funding this war, there’s a lot of communities that need help and need that money!” a woman shouted as she was ushered out of the auditorium.

Ocasio-Cortez’s town halls are increasingly drawing hostile crowds, with hecklers and frequent interruptions.

Last year, protesters with hand drums, chanting, “AOC has got to go!” crashed one of her town halls and kept her from addressing her constituents for several minutes.

The socialist pol danced along to the beat as the hecklers chanted for her to be voted out of office.
