As summer heats up, Wintour takes a step back.

Media mogul Anna Wintour, who has served as Vogue‘s editor-in-chief since 1988, announced on Thursday that she is stepping down, Women’s Wear Daily reports.

As the fashion and culture magazine launches the search for a new head of editorial content for American Vogue, Wintour will remain Condé Nast’s Chief Content Officer, overseeing brands globally like Wired, Vanity Fair, GQ, AD, Condé Nast Traveler, Glamour, Bon Appetit, Tatler, World of Interiors, and Allure. However, The New Yorker remains out of her jurisdiction, as the publication is managed by editor-in-chief David Remnick.

Wintour’s work has transcended Vogue‘s pages — both print and online — that she has helped craft, leading to films about her, inspired by her, or featuring her in interviews. Here are some titles to check out in light of the news.
