Not everyone shared the same reaction as Mac Jones’ biggest fan to seeing Taylor Swift at Gillette Stadium on Sunday.
As the Patriots faced the Chiefs in Week 15, New England’s X account posted a video of the pop megastar as she cheered on her boyfriend, Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce, from Foxborough.
The social media move was not well-received by some Patriots fans, who urged the account to scrub the clip, which has been viewed more than two million times.
“Delete this,” one X user replied to the post.
A separate user posted: “Why tf are the PATRIOTS posting their opponents girlfriend on twitter.”
“Embarrassing, whoever is running this account,” one user wrote.
While some fans continued to torch the Patriots’ X account, others had a field day over the “dads, brads and chads” melting down.
“It seems as though the dads, Brads, and Chads with fragile masculinities are pissed off,” another user posted, referencing Swift’s “dads, Brads and Chads” comment from her Time cover story as their Person of the Year.
“She’s not bothering anyone let her watch her boyfriend in peace,” one fan wrote.
It was a memorable afternoon for Swift, 34, and Chiefs Kingdom as Kansas City shook off its two-game losing streak with a 27-17 win.
The 12-time Grammy winner took in the contest with her dad, Scott Swift, and new pal Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Sunday’s game marked Swift’s seventh Chiefs outing of the year.
She originally sent social media into a spiral in September when she first caught Kelce, 34, in action at Arrowhead Stadium.
At the time of that game, Swift and Kelce “were a couple.”
“I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date,” she told TIME.
Kelce initially expressed interest in Swift over the summer when he failed to connect with her during her “Eras Tour” stop in Kansas City.
The pair started hanging out a short while later.
“We actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other,” Swift shared with TIME.
