Andy Reid has Taylor Swift’s back.
The Chiefs’ head coach complimented the superstar singer, who’s dating Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce, for how well she handles herself in times of public scrutiny, such as when Swift was booed during Super Bowl 2025 in New Orleans on Feb. 9.
“She’s a good girl,” Reid told NBC’s Mike Florio and Chris Simms while making his rounds at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis on Tuesday. “She handles that whole thing the right way, that’s a tough deal. But she does a great job with of handling it. Kelce, I think, does a great job with handling it.
“She’s part of the team and like the other girlfriends and wives, they’re part of it. And that’s all part of the process.”
Swift became a topic of conversation after Florio asked Reid if he had any good stories to share, as she’s a proud member of Chiefs Kingdom.
Reid went to bat for the Swift like he has many times since the couple started dating in the summer of 2023.
The 14-time Grammy winner was greeted with boos at Super Bowl 2025 and Fox cameras featured her on the Jumbotron at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
Fox cameras captured her sitting in a private suite and she seemed to quickly shake off the negative reaction.
The couple kept a low profile after the Eagles’ 40-22 rout of the Chiefs in their Super Bowl rematch.
Kelce, 35, has been surrounded by retirement speculation after his 12th NFL season — all with the Chiefs — ended in heartbreak, as Kansas City’s quest for a historic three peat was spoiled.
The three-time Super Bowl champ was a non-factor in his fifth Super Bowl appearance and finished with four grabs on six targets for 39 yards.
Reid said Tuesday he’s not worried about reports that there is a deadline for Kelce to inform the Chiefs of his decision.
The reports are tied to a $12.5 million roster bonus Kelce is due on March 15.
“I told him ‘Get away, don’t think about all that, that just relax man — chill down, and then we got time for that,” Reid told Florio and Simms.
“… I know it’s out there that there is a deadline, but he and I talk all the time. So, I’ll figure it out from him.”
Chiefs general manager Brett Veach was asked by The Post on Tuesday about Kelce and he expects the four-time All-Pro is likely to come back.
“He has one more year under contract,” Veach said. “Still think he has that fire and desire to play. As far as I’m concerned, there is no deadline [for a decision] I think we left it as he’d be back. And we’re excited to get him back and get him going.”
