Andy Cohen revealed he regrets not inviting Meghan Markle to “Watch What Happens Live” during her time in “Suits” and before she married Prince Harry.
In his recently released book, “Daddy Diaries,” the Bravo honcho explained that the Duchess of Sussex had pitched herself as a fan of “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” but he had nixed her as a guest.
However, looking back at the offer, Cohen told Page Six in a recent exclusive interview that he had made a “huge mistake.”
The father of two further explained in his book that the reason he passed on her offer was that he always thought that “Suits” looked like “some simulation of a TV show to me, like it was shot on tape and broadcast in a vacuum.”
However, he managed to make amends with the former actress, 41, when he was one of three male guests on her “Archetypes” podcast.
Of the special invite, he wrote that he couldn’t wait to say to her the infamous line from her Oprah Winfrey interview — “Were you silent … or silenced?” — but sadly the Duchess had no idea what Cohen was on about.

The book — which follows his life throughout 2022 — touches on the birth of his daughter via a surrogate and his worries about raising her and his 4-year-old son, Ben, as a single dad. Cohen also opens up about a myriad of “Housewives” issues as well as trying to find true love — all while overseeing renovations on his NYC home and Hamptons house.
And of course, it’s peppered with appearances from his famous pals including Kelly Ripa, Sarah Jessica Parker, John Benjamin Hickey, Anderson Cooper and Amy Sedaris.
“The Andy Cohen Diaries” author also wrote about trying some nasal ketamine spray with Sedaris and then going off to eat at the Polo Bar.
“It wasn’t that big of a deal,” he said laughing. “But yes, we took a spray of a friend’s nasal ketamine and then we were going to the Polo Bar, it’s true. It had us off our heads for about half an hour.”
Despite these 30 minutes, Cohen wrote of dramatically curbing his edible and alcohol consumption after becoming a father.
“In August … I subtitled this book ‘The Year I Grew Up’ and I really meant it,” he shared. “In August I had a three-week vacation with the kids and I said, ‘Oh my God, this is not a vacation, this is totally my life right now 100 percent.”
Cohen noted that things really changed for him when he became a father of two, saying, “I had such ownership of just one. And then, when Ben was a threenager and I’m dealing with that and I have a baby, I was like, ‘Oh my God’ and it really all caused me to shift the way that I lived my life.”
In fact, the Bravo honcho who had previously spent many a night on the town became a homebody.
He explained, “From August on, I’m home almost every night and I’m barely drinking and so I really did a shift of my life and it’s actually been really beneficial. And I think writing the diary helped because it caused me to … it was like my therapist for a year and it caused me to look at my feelings and not brush them under the rug.”
Cohen loves being involved in “Housewives” and “Vanderpump Rules” drama but knows its place.
“I think the reason I created a family is because I knew … look I’m so enmeshed in what I do for a living and I love it so much but I know that’s not the be-all and end-all,” he revealed. “At the end of the day, it’s entertainment and it’s fine and it’s all going to go away. I just think having a family has rooted me in a way.
“I do finally feel rooted in family which is a really wonderful feeling but I love the frivolity and the drama that swirls around me. I think it’s great.”
