Andy Cohen is remembering Shannen Doherty‘s 2012 appearance on Watch What Happens Live in light of her heartbreaking death.

The actress, who famously played Brenda Walsh in Beverly Hills, 90210, “lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting” on Saturday (June 13).

On this morning’s episode of Cohen’s Sirius XM radio show Andy Cohen Live, he recalled the one time she visited the Bravo Clubhouse more than a decade ago.

“I do know that Shannen Doherty appeared on Watch What Happens Live and I think it got a little contentious. Or we played ‘Plead the Fifth’ and she didn’t — something happened as a result of her being on Watch What Happens Live,” he said.

“Plead the Fifth” is a popular WWHL game in which Cohen asks his guests three scandalous questions — but they’re only allowed to skip over (or plead the fifth to) one of them.

While Doherty’s episode is not streaming anywhere, BravoTV.com does display a carousel of photos from her appearance on WWHL — including one where she seems to be playfully strangling Cohen for asking about her relationship with Alyssa Milano.

The two women infamously feuded while co-starring on Charmed. Doherty revealed in a December 2023 episode of her Let’s Be Clear podcast that there was a  “competitiveness” and “lack of female support” between her and Milano that led to their falling out.

Despite their tumultuous start, Milano paid tribute to Doherty following her death.

“It’s no secret that Shannen and I had a complicated relationship, but at its core was someone I deeply respected and was in awe of,” Milano said in a statement to Variety. “She was a talented actress, beloved by many and the world is less without her. My condolences to all who loved her.”

Doherty, who was ultimately fired from both Beverly Hills, 90210 and Charmed, gave a “brutal, honest” answer to Cohen when he asked about her alleged diva behavior.

“I wasn’t exactly the most diplomatic human being. I was young. I was 18 years old. I was dealing with a lot of really serious stuff that nobody knew,” she said in the Season 6 episode of WWHL. “My dad had multiple strokes and heart attacks and I was so wrapped up in the fact that I was scared of losing my dad and just going home every single night in fear and waiting for a phone call, that I think it comes out in a lot of different ways.”

“One of them is anger, rebellion and everything else,” Doherty continued. “I definitely made mistakes back then but anybody who actually knew me, knew where it was coming from. It wasn’t to be a bitch, it was just — I was petrified.”

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
