And Just Like That… is the sudsy sequel series to HBO’s massive hit Sex and the City. The SATC spinoff follows sex columnist, memoirist, and fashionista Carrie Bradshaw as she navigates the highs and lows of her fifties in the city. The series opened with the untimely death of her beloved husband, Big (Chris Noth). After processing her grief, Carrie reconnects with former flame Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) in Season 2. While the two are finally ready to commit to one another, Aidan finds himself held back by his teenaged son’s mental health issues. And Just Like That… Season 2 ended with Carrie moving into a massive new house in Gramercy Square while accepting the fact that she and Aidan can’t be together full time for at least another five years. Oh, and Carrie adopted a cat she named “Shoe.”
Elsewhere in the world of And Just Like That…, Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) found equilibrium in her new life as an out lesbian and moved on from her tryst with non-binary comic Che Diaz (Sara Ramirez). Charlotte (Kristin Davis) returned to work in the high end gallery world and made a new close friend in fellow glamorous working mom Lisa Todd Wexley (Nicole Ari Parker). Carrie’s new bestie, sultry real estate titan Seema Patel (Sarita Choudhury), found love with a charming movie director. Oh, and Kim Cattrall was lured back to play Samantha Jones in a brief AJLT Season 2 finale cameo.
